NUS Senior Vice President (Health Innovation & Translation) Professor John Eu-Li Wong co-authored an article in the Journal of the American Medical Association which outlined Singapore’s experience and global issues requiring attention to deal with the health emergency. Other authors of the article included former NUS President Professor Tan Chorh Chuan, Singapore’s Chief Health Scientist; and NUS alumna Professor Leo Yee-Sin, Executive Director of the National Centre for Infectious Diseases.
Mr Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, delivered the keynote speech at this year’s Singapore Perspectives conference, organised by the Institute of Policy Studies. Mr Heng emphasised the need for the country to maintain its sense of ‘we’ as a people, and work together to build a shared future.
